Terms and Conditions for Foundations Health Education’s Courses

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling in any Foundations Health Education Course. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the course and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the course provider. By enrolling in the course, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.         Enrollment and Payment:

1.1. To enroll in the Course, you must complete the registration process and submit the required payment.

1.2. The course fee must be paid in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified.

1.3. Payment can be made through the approved payment methods specified by the FHE.

2.         Course Content and Materials:

2.1. The FHE Course content, including any materials provided, is owned by the course provider and is protected by copyright laws.

2.2. The course provider grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course content solely for your personal educational purposes for this course.

2.3. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works based on the course content without prior written permission from the course provider.

3.         Attendance and Participation:

3.1. You are responsible for attending and actively participating in the Course.

3.2. If you miss any sessions or fail to meet participation requirements, the course provider may not issue a completion certificate or grant any continuing education credits.

3.3 Any re-evaluations following the course are subject to a fee

3.4 Our needling courses cover the entire body. You will be required to be a model for all regions and that will include exposing all body areas to be needled. If you are uncomfortable exposing an area you will need to arrange a model to come to the course and be needled in your place.

4.         Cancellations and Refunds:

These are outlined in the cancellation policy in the course description on the website

4.1. If you wish to cancel your enrollment in the course, you must notify the course provider in writing.

4.2. Cancellation up to 30 days prior to the published course start date will receive a full refund minus an administration fee.

4.3 Foundations Health Education (FHE) will not be able to provide a refund of course fees if cancellation occurs within 30 days of the course start date or if the participant has been given access to the pre-study material.

4.4 Withdrawal from the course once it has started or failure to complete the entire course is not subject to any refund of course fees.

4.5 Any requests for transfer of course fees to a future course if cancellation occurs within 30 days of the course start date or withdrawal from the course once it has started for medical reasons, family emergencies or other similar reasons will require supporting evidence to assess the situation and determine the course of action. These include but are not limited to a death certificates, detailed medical certificate or letter from a qualified healthcare professional that clearly states the nature of the medical emergency, its duration, and its impact on your ability to continue with your studies. The document should be on official letterhead, include the healthcare professional’s contact information, and be signed and dated.

Any additional supporting medical documentation or reports that you believe will further substantiate your situation. These may include hospital records, diagnostic test results, or any other relevant medical documents.

4.6. The course provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the course due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the course provider will provide a full refund or offer an alternative course date. Continuation of the course depends on a minimum number of participants and FHE reserves the right to reschedule a course in the case of insufficient registration.

4.7In the event of insufficient registration FHE will hold or transfer your registration to another course or provide a full refund of course fees at that time.

4.8 FHE reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. If this occurs a full refund of your course fees will be provided. FHE is not responsible for any charges expenses incurred by the course participant outside of the course registration fee.

5.         Code of Conduct:

5.1. You must adhere to a professional code of conduct during the course.

5.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior towards instructors or fellow participants will not be tolerated.

5.3. The course provider reserves the right to remove any participant from the course if their behavior is deemed inappropriate.

6.         Limitation of Liability:

6.1. The course provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in the course.

6.2. The course provider does not guarantee any specific outcomes or results from the course. 6.3. It is your responsibility to ensure that the course is suitable for your needs and meets any specific requirements for your Provincial Colleges or governing body.

7.         Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

7.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the course provider is located.

7.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions or your participation in the course shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the same jurisdiction.
